Pedestrian Seriously Injured After Struck By Vehicle: Raritan PD

A pedestrian was seriously injured after they were struck by a motor vehicle in Raritan on the evening of Sunday, Oct. 27, authorities said.

At 7:47 p.m., officers responded to Route 31 and East Main Street and found a 52-year-old Stockton woman struck by a vehicle, Raritan police said. The woman was attempting to cross Route 31 from the northbound side when she was struck by a silver-colored Honda Fit, police said.

The Honda Fit was traveling northbound on Route 31, police said. The Honda Fit initially left the scene of the crash but returned shortly thereafter, police said. 

The pedestrian was subsequently transported to a nearby hospital for possible internal bleeding, police said. The driver of the Honda Fit was transported to police headquarters for further questioning, officers said.
